Positive self-talk
Competition is a construct
I was participating in a sporting event, for fun, and played my turn. I told one of my team-mates, "I set the intention the first ball would be great and the rest would just get better!" She continued to take her turn and was frustrated and using negative self-talk. I told her that putting a negative energy on the balls or herself just drew in more negative energy. Putting a positive energy into the game would draw in positive energy. She agreed that a positive energy was better. When the more skilled players did their turn, I pointed it out that their turns weren't better than ours. She agreed.
She asked me if I was a therapist and I replied, "I just know how this works."
A few times when she was down on herself, I reminded her about being positive and she'd change her outlook.
When the third game started, I was taking my turn and I heard someone say, "It's a beautiful day" or "Everything is perfect." I turned around smiling and pointed to a lady on the opposing team thinking she said it, but it was the lady on my team, who I was coaching for the first two games. She was enjoying herself and made it a great day.
Self healing
On the second game, the teams were paired with a different team. I noticed a lady sitting in a chair with a cane. I asked her if she tried self-healing techniques and proceeded to tell her she should "thank your body for being strong" and "thank the pain for the experience, but you no longer need that experience and you let it go." I continued to tell her about me healing my knee and shoulder in 3 months and my mother healing her arthritis in 2 days; Don't give up. She replied, "I'm as strong as an ox and I don't give up."
It'll be nice to see her walking without the cane.
There is a storm coming in
After the three rounds were over, the teams were sitting around chatting about the day. There were some dark clouds to the South, but the North was a beautiful blue-sky and a few white clouds. I was clearing the sky during the third game.
Our stuff on the chair was moved and we were at another table. I recognized one of the fellows at the table and apologized that I had to leave early the previous day due to another appointment. A lady beside him was talking of hail coming in from the clouds to the South. I immediately said something like, "You can choose to have that experience, but I choose to have a beautiful sunny day -- pointing to the sky to the North." I continued to mention that we manifest our reality and if you want a stormy ending to the day, that's ok, but I prefer a nice drive home.
She asked me if I had a been a car salesman 😃
We did have a clear drive home going North with just a little rain on one section of the drive.
In summary
You really can have a great day everyday if you choose to. Just refuse to be negative or judge others. It'll take some work as I'm still working on it, but it gets easier. Remember, when you send out love, you get love in return and that includes loving yourself first.
Have a fantastic day!
